Botanic Gardens, Art and Music in Honolulu
Hawaii is one of the top dream vacation destinations for people not only from all across the United States but is also a standard tourist destination for people from across the world. The islands are beautiful and generally experience great weather conditions, which makes visiting any one of the island possible throughout the year. And while each of them is beautiful and has great views, there are some cities and islands that receive the majority of tourist populations. Honolulu is not only the capital of Hawaii it is also the most highly populated city in the state. It is probably the most famous and a large number of the state’s tourists decide to base their stay in this city.
Some of the best Honolulu hotels will have great entertainment options available on the property and they will also be able to guide visitors to some of the best dance clubs, live performance venues and other great cultural attractions. While almost everyone who visits Hawaii is interested in spending some time on one or more of the beaches they are also interested in experiencing some of the island culture and there is a great deal of fascinating attractions and things to do in Honolulu.
The Honolulu Academy of Arts is a popular place to visit and was established in 1922. Since it was originally founded by Anna Rice Cooke and its consequential opening in September of 1927, the museum has grown immensely and flourished. It’s collect includes over 40,000 pieces and the academy has the largest collection of Asian art in Hawaii. Another great place to visit is the Neal S. Blaisdell Center, which is located in the downtown district of Honolulu. This is a multi-purpose facility, that was established in 1964, and remains one of the primary music performance spaces in the city. Hawaii has some incredible botanic gardens and the Foster Botanical Garden is one of the best. One of the unique factors regarding this garden is its location in a highly urbanized area. There are strip malls and schools near by, which also gives it easy access.
