Historic Parks in Old Town, Beach Parks on the Coast and Sea World in San Diego
San Diego is frequently considered to be one of the great vacation destinations and even small paradises in this country. It is certainly one of the most popular places to visit in California and in addition to some of the outstanding cultural attractions, major entertainment options and great dining venues, the city is probably most famous for its beautiful weather and incredible beaches. Any time of the year people are on one of the city’s great beaches or are in the water itself enjoying a great swim, surf or scuba dive. Of course there are numerous other options for great beach activities and they can all be found and enjoyed in San Diego.
Many of the luxurious hotels and resorts in San Diego provide excellent views of the beach and ocean. And since the city is located on the coast and is full of excellent beach land and beautiful geographic elements to the east, it might come as a surprise to some of the tourist that the city is also full of parks. When the entire city of San Diego seems to be one big park, it can be difficult to imagine the need to create additional ones. However, nature conservation is an important aspect to every city as is recognizing the importance of designated park areas. And yes, the beaches are included in much of the city’s parks and recreation areas.
The Old Town San Diego State Park is one of the popular tourist areas and is extremely attractive to children and adults alike. In addition to some of the interesting history and landmarks you can discover, there is also professional theatre, art galleries, the Sheriff’s Museum and trolley tours. This is one park area you will not want to miss when visiting San Diego. Sea World San Diego is one of the most internationally famous attractions in the city. There are amazing rides, exhibits and tours that are intended to be exciting and fun as well as educational and create appreciation orientations to marine life. The dolphin and killer whale shows remain one of the most loved and popular aspects of this aquatic park.
