Sporadic Weather in Fort Collins, Colorado
Fort Collins, Colorado is one of the state’s beautiful college towns , and while it is big enough to call a city it is also small enough to call home. It has been twice voted by Money Magazine as one of the best places to live and the residents agree with this statement. Colorado is a diverse state and enjoys amazing geography throughout it. And Fort Collins enjoys some of the great weather and scenic wonders of the entire state. Of course this might be debated by residents of other cities and regions, but like most places in Colorado, they likely have a great sense of state and city pride. And the numerous tourists who visit Fort Collins every year have to agree with Money Magazine and love their comfortable hotel accommodations and also wouldn’t mind making the move.
The city is located just east of the Rocky Mountain foothills and has a beautiful climate. On average there is a reported 296 days of sunshine and about 22 days of 90 degree and higher weather. The average daily temperature through the month of July is 84 degrees, which means the residents typically enjoy beautiful summer days. In addition, the average daily temperature in August is a cool 83 degrees, which leaves those 22 days of expected 90 and above degree temperatures are sporadically mixed into the beautiful norm.
Currently the city is experiencing weather that is typical to the rest of the state at this time. It has been an unusually cold winter and though it is warmer up, traces of the season remain. This week will see a range in daily highs from 65 degrees to a much colder 36 degrees, which includes a chance for snow. The days that lay ahead in the immediate future won’t be included in those 296 days of sunshine as cloudy and partly cloudy skies are on the forecast. The warmest day, when it is expected to reach 65 will happen on Monday and the cool down occurs on Tuesday. It will warm back up into the 50s on Thursday and Friday.
