Find Washington DC Landmarks White House and FBI Building with a Map
Washington DC does not take up a large geographical region in the United States, though it does contain some of the nation’s most important real-estate and some of its most symbolic and important national icons and landmarks. Tourists continue to visit DC every year and feel a strong sense of historic patriotism while they are there. And while it’s not a huge geographic region, there is so much packed into the finite space that find one’s way around can be kind of confusing and sometimes a bit disorienting.
One of the necessary accessories for any guest in one of the nice area hotels of Washington DC is a quality area map . Interestingly, in a city that is has such a symbolic, as well as literal, significance to the country, it is ironic that it needs to be placed on the map, which itself has a metaphoric significance. Of course there is no need to put DC on the cultural map of the United States, but it is extremely helpful to have a map of the city while visiting. Most of the nice DC hotels will have maps available in the gift shop and it is a good idea to look them over and establish a pathway plan for your next day’s schedule.
Finding iconic landmarks can even be a little complicated, though there are plenty of guidelines and markers along the way. This is one of the strongest examples of why maps are so useful even in this city. It makes all the difference in enjoying your day when you have a solid route planned out and guiding you through your list of sites. You can visit the White House, the FBI Building and even the Pentagon in one day and if you don’t have to worry about how you’re going to get to the next location, it leaves only room to enjoy and be awed by these major national landmarks.
