Georgia Hub
Atlanta Georgia it the Capital of the state and quite the hub to many major corporations and history of the country. Check into one of the luxurious hotels Atlanta has waiting for you and see as some of the sites that are or where a major contribution to the United States. Once known as Standing Peachtree, a little Native American village, to now a huge metropolis called Atlanta. The Cherokee and Creek Native Americans were living here when the white settlers came and took it over in 1822. The American Civil War used Atlanta has a major rail way stop for military supplies. This brought some important battles of the war.
Now this big city has many communities inside the greater Atlanta area. It is the home of some very successful corporations like the Coca-Cola Company. This is were most of the drink products are managed and bottled. AT&T Mobility has its headquarters here providing cellular phone service. If you are flying out of the country on Delta Airlines you more than likely will make a stop to Atlanta. This is were they have their headquarters and run international flights out of Hartfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. It is one of the worlds busiest airports.
In some of the surrounding areas, adjoined to the city, you will find even more large companies. Home Depot runs its large business out of Atlanta. UPS uses that same big airport to get their shipments sent all over the world. Next to cities like New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, Atlanta has a large concentration of offices of Fortune 500 companies. There are a large percentage of the Fortune 1000 companies who have put an office of some kind in Atlanta. Hopefully, some of people traveling to work with one of these major companies will get out of one of the luxury hotels Atlanta has and see what the history of this great city has to share.
