Finding Employment in Perth

I’ve been in Perth for a few days now, and I really like it here. I’m glad I decided to take my holiday here instead of the UK. This time of year, fall, the weather is cooler and it’s been raining off and on; it kind of reminds me of home, only a little, especially how all the shops are laid out, and all the people I’ve met are so much more friendlier.

I checked into one of the hotels Perth has downtown where I can have easy access to everything. I came here to find work and I’m really impressed with just how many jobs are available here. I called up the Labor job site and they told me that I could start the next day, that’s if my paperwork’s in order, which it is. I looked further look into what else is available and noticed a position available for a Field Assistant position working at a gold mine, but it’s really much further away than I’d like. But, it pays really well and I’d work seven days in a row and get a day off every 2 weeks. The company even covers room and board. I mean, I’d be working outside of Perth and all that’s paid for, so I could actually save money and then I could rent a really nice pad and finally have some nice furniture and a place where I could invite people over for a dinner party, or just party.

I hope I get that position, because then I’d only have to work at it for a year, and I’d be well set to do other things too, if I decide not to rent a great apartment, but decide to travel more. Like move to Thailand, because the living is easy there and I really like the culture. Well, this all depends on if the get that job!
