Driving South Africa

The country of South Africa is huge! With more than one thousand six hundred miles of coast line, nearly five hundred thousand square miles of land South Africa is the twenty fifth largest country in the world. South Africa’s terrain is varied, vast and grand with elevations from sea level to nearly eleven thousand three hundred feet above sea level at the highest peak. When researching out trip to South Africa these statistics made me realize that car hire in South Africa would be essential to get the most out of our trip.

Looking forward to a temperate climate due to the surrounding Indian Ocean and Atlantic Ocean. The days should be warm and inviting with cooler and breezy evenings. The coast line is beautify, rugged and rocky and long. Having a car and being able to get about along the coast line will be very nice. The Independence it affords will be welcomed and a better alternative than being at the mercy of a tour group or limited public transportation schedules and time tables. With the more research we do the more excited we after becoming.

From days at the beach and drives along the winding coat to drives inland exploring the diverse country side and scenery. We will get plenty of use out of a hired car. Getting to explore the wine country would be difficult to nearly impossible with out our own car to use. And while we are there we will want to drive into the mountains to experience the cool mountain air, visit local villages and see indigenous artists at work.

From what I can learn there will be more to do than we will be able to manage to. Making the best of each day and taking in what we can as we go is the plan.
