Try a visit to Miami for fun and learning
When people picture a map of Florida they think Disneyworld and retirement communities. There are things way beyond Mickey Mouse and golf in Florida. The Florida map is for more than just the very young and old; there is a booming celebrity scene in Miami Beach, Florida. The Miami metropolitan area is the seventh largest in on the US map with over five million residents.
The Florida map reveals some of the most beautiful beaches, with white sandy and the most turquoise of water. Miami Beach is a place for barely there bikinis and sunscreen.
Miami Beach, also known as South Beach, was once a wasteland and scar on the map of Florida until it was developed. Now on Miami Beach area sits nearly 200 hotels, some of them being among the most luxurious in the world, including a Ritz-Carlton.
Miami Beach now has a reputation for opulence and status. Which some are trying to change, Miami has recently also been trying to attract families to its resorts instead of just making the city a Mecca for partying. The city hosted the MTV Video Music Awards in 2004 and The Latin American MTV awards several times. Also, the hit TV show Miami Ink on TLC, featured a tattoo shop located in the city. An MTV show was also filmed there about a Miami Modeling agency.
Miami also has a great deal of tragic history the city was the place where world renowned fashion designer Gianni Versace was murdered on his doorstep in 1997 after walking home from Ocean drive. Also, Miami was the site of the Elian Gonzalez fiasco in 1999.
Miami also is home to many other attractions, including the Miami Seaquarium and a Holocaust Museum.
If you are looking for a unique experience, a medley of both relaxation and history, Miami is the perfect destination in the entire Florida map or world map for that matter.
